Aid for Victims of the Tohoku Region Pacific Offshore Earthquake
Oriental Land Co., Ltd. would first like to send our heartfelt condolences to all those affected by the Tohoku Pacific Earthquake on March 11, 2011. From our heart, we pray for the health and well-being of everyone, and hope for the earliest possible recovery of the affected areas.
Oriental Land Group, a business based in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, values the relationship it has with the local community.
The group announces that ¥50 million (US$600,000) has been donated to Chiba Prefecture and the city of Urayasu to assist victims of the surrounding area that were affected by the earthquake.
Morever, ¥100 million (US$1.20 million) has been sent to the Japan Red Cross to help in relief efforts for areas struck by the disaster nationally. (Announced on March 18.)
