Tokyo Disney Resort Merchandise Recall
URAYASU, CHIBA - Oriental Land Co., Ltd. has announced the recall of "Jam in Cookies" and
"Fruit Tarts" (both produced by Colombin Co., Ltd. at its Souwa factory in Ibaraki Prefecture)
which were sold at shops within "Tokyo Disney Resort". Oriental Land Co. has determined that
a portion of the "Jam in Cookies" which were sold between December 26, 2004 and January 13,
2005 (please see below for details), became moldy due to moisture content that was in excess
of the product specification. In addition, it has been determined that, although mold has not
been discovered in the "Fruit Tarts" from the same factory, this product was also manufactured
with excess moisture content.
Guests who have purchased these products and have them in their possession are requested to
send it with its packaging, together with their name, address and phone number, to the address
below with the postage to be paid by Oriental Land Co. A refund will be sent at a later date.
Cooperation in this recall effort is greatly appreciated.
Oriental Land Co. considers this to be a very serious matter and sincerely apologizes to its
guests for this unfortunate occurrence. To prevent this from happening again, the company will
strengthen its management stance as well as its instruction and direction to manufacturers so
that guests can rest assured that the merchandise they purchase is safe.
